Don't be scared to ask the doctor. He's heard worse things. You didn't know at the time you got pregnant, and if your doctor holds it against you and your baby, he has a serious ethical problem. In that case, you'll have to stand up for yourself and the health of your child. It will be hard, but your doctor needs to know every aspect of your conception and the father's history.

Odds are your baby is unaffected, but your doctor knows more about it than I or any other layman answering this question. If there could be a consequence, then it's best that your doctor know and be able to treat it sooner than later.

Best of luck to you.

There is a slim chance, but at 7 months you should have been through at least one sonogram. You also go in for monthly heart rate checks on baby and the drs have been monitoring its growth. If there has been no concern with that, then I would say you are fine.

With you not using, your baby isnt put at great risk, but if anything you should let your doctor know. That is just in case anything happens to baby during delivery, then they have some type of background to go on.

Your doctor and you shuold have a good enough relationship right now that they would understand your concern. What I have learned is that the baby is usually fine unless the mother is using or abusing drugs or alcohol.

Both you and your baby should be fine, however the dad can have small influences on the baby. Perhaps if you don't want the Dr to think bad of you, you should take your boyfriend along with you to explain what has happened, but i do think it would be best to go and see the Dr; if not for anything else, just to put your mind at ease.
Good luck with everything Hun!

I'm pretty certain that, unless you were using, there should be no problem.

However...PLEASE bring this up with your doctor. You should always be totally honest with your doctor. He should have no trouble believing that you weren't using...Not to mention the fact that he's not there to judge you. You can go to church, and find a minister to give you moral advice...Your doctor should be strictly concerned with the physical health of you & the baby.

your baby shoudl be fine but of course always tell your dr things like that. just tell him that ure embarressed but you ask be cause your concerned for your childs safety. that will obviously show him that your a good mom! dont keep anything because nothing is completely true about what can and cannot affect a fetus. i think your baby will be great though so dont worry but still tell your dr.

As long as you didn't do the drugs then your baby should be fine b/c what he does doesn't affect the baby. You should go ahead and ask your doctor to make sure and just let him know that you didn't know anything about it.

The chances are that they baby will be absolutely fine. Luckily it is you that has been supplying the nutrients and growing the baby so it is you who has the biggest influence on your little one. Since you are clean the baby will be fine.

usually "crack babies" only happen when the mother is on crack. if the dad does it, there shouldn't be too much to worry about. the worst that could happen is ADD. i wouldn't be too worried. you should talk to your doctor about it, im sure he/she wont think badly of you because you obviously care if you are asking.

You do need to discuss this with your doctor. What the father does can affect the baby.
