“Art is a result of human creativity which has some perceived quality beyond its usefulness, usually on the basis of aesthetic value or emotional impact.”
Art is subjective. You have the ability to begin with a dot or a straight line. Or you can draw a circle and squares, shapes. You can take the rainbow colors (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet) and color in the shapes with the rainbow colors.
There are variations of uses that pencils can provide. You can draw with a sharp or dull pencil. You can use paper towel to smudge the pencil lines drawn.
Draw a line on paper with a marker and take a drop of water and drop it on the drawn line. Take a q-tip and smudge the soaked line over other parts of the paper.
There is so much that you can do to make art. That is why everyone can do art. It is subjective. What you create is what you perceive.
Enjoy trying different ways to do art.
Thank you

Art is expressed in so many ways drawing and painting are just two forms of many forms of art. Think of words, poetry, literature, music, dance etc. Don't limit yourself to just visual expression. Art is a word that means many things to many people. Art is graphic design, advertising, art is hip-hop and classical music. It can be a performance. My advice...go where your interest is and look, read, study. Be open to everything and take something away and bring your own thoughts and ideas into them. Why not experiment with collage and music? Start asking questions and then play with the answers.

You can get some great ideas from HGTV.com. I love to paint, but can't draw for anything! There are some cool things that have to do with altering things that you may already have or that you can get from a thrift store. One of the pieces that I created was simply different sizes of canvases that I painted a solid color then once they dried I put random lines on them. I layered them so that they weren't flat to the wall. Later, I the designed an entire room around this piece of art. So simple, and it get's so much attention!

Get a book on ORIGAMI (the ancient art of paper folding.) You will be amazed at the things you can do with a simple sheet of paper and very easy once you know how. People are amazed when they see you do this too. You can get book on it at your local library if you don't want to buy one or to try first to se if you like it before spending money. (Cheapest way to produce art too) I have NO talent either for drawing, etc. but have completed mosaics. You can trace a pattern from anything and just get glue and stones from a craft store to fill it in. Suitable for framing when done also if you do them on a board. There are kits available to get you started and help you learn. Once you have the ideda, you can venture out on your own. This is time consuming though for a BEST effect. In the kits it tells you to fill in the area you want to cover with glue and pour stones over and smooth out with your hand or a stick or rolling pin, etc and kinda shake off excess back into container. I find doing them one or several at a time and pushing them in place with a toothpick works better. (Less gaps), but takes longer. Not like forever, but longer than they ssay it will take to complete.

Let me tell you something. everyone can learn to draw. Anyone could be artist. i have been focusing on art properly since September and i was bad at first too, but i have improved a lot since then, so its all about practice, if u want to be a good artist sketch as much as possible. I think your best bet is to buy a beginners artist book. it will help. Don't worry if you practice exploring all the arty things then you will do fine. Good luck!

Sculptures and abstract art are easy ways to get started. Beginning with abstract seems like the easy way out, but it's a good way to vent your feelings, and you don't have to portray a particular event to someone- abstract allows people to draw their own reactions and emotions. Don't worry about what other people are going to say- things don't take extraordinary talent. They take feeling and heart. Go for it.

Stenciling
Not a painter nor do I draw but I just decorated(painted) the tops of two tables by finding pic. on web that I could cut and use as stenciles. the tables now look like they are mosaic.. one with dolphins the other with hummingbird..for the mosaic look i just dabbed small shapes that looked like they fit together as background.. They look great.

Splash paint on a large canvas and say it's abstract art.
People will pull their own message from it.
I think abstract art is very deep, yet simple.
