A family member took our car and we don't want to report it stolen just yet, We want to give him a couple days to bring it back so he doesn't have a Felony on him or anything. We didn't know how the insurance would be handled if anything happened while in his possession. Any body had a similiar circumstance?

If you do not report it stolen, you are more than likely responsible for anything that happens with the vehicle. If your family member crashes into another car, you will be responsible for the damages, especially if the vehicle has been gone for days and you haven't reported it. I would report it as stolen and if it is returned tell law enforcement that the vehicle was returned and you do not wish to file charges.
