When I put out a water dish it either evaporates or gets knocked over.

put a couple of teaspoons of water in a jar lid. Just put more in there each day. Also, eventually your hamster will learn to use his water bottle, it just takes time.

Squeeze or tap the bottle a bit so that a drip forms. Hold the hamster by the drip and let him lap it up. Repeat every once in a while. He will soon associate the tip of the botle with lapping up water.

hold a water bowl about 2 or 3 times a day for it to drink

Try to train him by putting his favorite treat right over the tip of the bottle. He'll learn eventually. Good luck!

show him you can get water from it, make it drop water on his head, if he dosn't figure it out then give him a bowl of water.

maybe he isnt thirty yet or you can take him to vet see what wrong with him . maybe he is sick .
