my breasts have been itching soooooo bad lately! i lotion them like 4 times a day with cocoa butter and ive also been using aveeno lotion for itchy dry skin. nothing works.....its so bad it keeps me up at night and it kills at work cuz i cant itch them. they even feel different. the skin feels thin and dry. what can i use to relive the discomfort. i asked my mom and she said its from my milk glands. anyone have any advice??? thank you so much!

Just wanted to correct Jackie - Lansinoh is the brand in the purple box and Medela is in a yellow box. I have used both and I prefer the texture of the Lansinoh.

Since your itching this bad your skin could be sensitive to your laundry detergent, body wash, lotions, anything that comes in close contact with your skin now. When your pregnant your hormones go wacko. Things you hate you'll love, things you loved you'll hate. I went through the same thing. I can't use normal band aids now, weird. Also, things are growing so fast in such a little time its stretching the skin which dries it out. Maybe use a different brand lotion. Good luck!

Try Pure Lanolin.There is a great product out there called Medulla. They make breast pumps,lotions,soaps, ect. You can get the breast treatment at Target. Usually in with the baby stuff. It will be a purple tube with a picture of a mother breast feeding on it. This stuff works great for the itching and also great once you have the baby and begin breastfeeding. It is safe for baby to swallow.

i just use cocoa butter for mine too...they are killers when they itch so bad..you want to dig them off..lol..but it will go away..im 21 weeks pregnant and i get the itching once in a while..just give it some time..good luck and congrats..

get the product called udder cream at any WalMart. It cures the worst dry skin you can imagine, or my name isn't Ray K.

It's because they are growing. There really isn't anything you can do about it because it's on the inside.
