I have a 1Gb OCZ PC3200 stick which has timings of 3-4-4-8..I want to add a slightly better 1Gb stick, also PC3200 by OCZ, but with timings of 3-3-3-8..WIll this work ok?

Yes, it will work but your RAM will be running at the speed of the slowest RAM. You probably won't even see the difference unless you run a benchmark but you can overclock your RAM if you want.

You can mix different latencies, your ram will use the latency of the slowest stick you have in the computer.

Best to consult your motherboard user manual or manufacturers website. IMHO, I would go with the stick that the motherboard manufacturer recommends. Crucial [and many other memory manufacturers] has a Memory Advisor Tool. It will scan your system and make the proper recommendation.
