Typically, you'd go by size, but it can vary depending on gender and how much / often it has been fed. A corn snake that is 12-18" long is probably 1-3 months old. A cornsnake that is 18-24" inches long is about 8-10 months. A cornsnake that is 2-3 feet is probably about 12-16 months. A cornsnake that is 4-5 feet is an adult, probably about 2 years old. A cornsnake that is longer than 5 feet is likely an adult male that is at least 3 years old.
