For example, and without naming names, I made the same joke about 2 other participants here at P&S. One of them picked up on it and played right along. The other, who I figured would pick up on it because they always joke around the same way, sent me an incredibly nasty email regarding it.
Is it that they can't seperate reality from fantasy? Or is it just that they like to deal it out, but don't want it dealt back?

No, a lot of people can't take a damn joke. That is for sure. Some people can dish it, but will never take it. That's sad. Self-deprecation is the key to a good sense of humor.

The key to having a sense of humour is the ability to laugh at yourself. I'm often disappointed with people who seem to have a sense of humour, but then it becomes obvious that they take themselves too seriously. There's a lot of delicate egos out there. And I'm not the one to stroke them.

no some people can't take a joke and that's why they need to stay the hell outta p&s because this is for the "not-wrapped-too-tight" who love all types of humor...exactly why I no longer allow people to contact me by email, I received a not-so-nice one the other day from someone named Mav.

yep, I have gotten rude emails also, some like to dish it out but when it comes back they can't handle it, just mark their emails as spam : )
