like if i have sex once a week and im only using a condom as the only form of protection.. how safe is that?

Condoms have an efficacy rate of about 72%. This means that out of 100 couples using them EXACTLY like they're supposed to be used, in one year 28 women will become pregnant.

Condoms if used correctly every time are pretty reliable. If I were you and did not want to get pregnant I would double up and use the pill also.

I wouldn't rely just on the condom. You also should be on some sort of birth control. Talk to your doctor.

It is better if the man wears 2 condoms instead of one. Also avoid contact before wearing them.
