I am in grade 8 and grade is a big change from grade 7 in grade 7 I never needed to study for anything but now we have a lot of test I would like to know what is the easiest way to memorize definations and other notes

try studying frequently. Some people learn better by rewriting the stuff they want to learn. Others make flashcards or studysheets of some kind.

start studying for it early if you can. that way you can feel at ease and you won't be panicking the night before.
if you studied enough during the semester or class segment, then it should be like review. this also will make you feel more at ease.

use index cards. write up review cheats. study with friends during lunch time.

scaning and skiming, pick key point. training your eyes being fast reader because you will need it when you get into UNI
