I would definitely say "C". Vietnam had a history of being a colony of the French. The Vietnamese and the French fought over this matter in a bitter war. Then the U.S. moved in after the French pulled out. And then a whole other mess was created. Not all that different from the current situation in Iraq- Iraq was once dominated by Great Britan. And now the U.S. ... ah, you know the story.

I'm not really sure of your question, but I am going to have to disagree with you about elections and democracy. Communists believe that elections are inherently problematic, as they set people up as being higher than others. This is where communism differs from more democratic forms of Socialism. If you're talking about Karl Marx, he believed that society had to arrive at Socialism on it's own... That it COULDN'T BE FORCED.
