I live in the states currently, but I want to go to a university in Brighton, and then move there permanently. I'm having a very hard time researching any UK schools right now, and I would love if someone could give me their opinion or perhaps a book I could get that has information on UK universities.
I don't know what I want to major in yet, so all suggestions are fine.

The University of Sussex is supposed to be very good. It's not actually in Brighton but is quite close.
I live in Portsmouth, England which is just down the coast from Brighton. If you would like me to, drop me an email and I'll see what else I can find out for you.

The University of Sussex is becoming an extremely renowned university. The University of Brighton is a good university but for certain things so check it out before you apply. There are also other Universities around Kent and Sussex that have easy travel to Brighton which means that you could spend your weekends there.
