It sounds like it could be an early miscarriage. You should go to your ob/gyn for a check up;

while I agree that you should do a pregnance test to check, I don't think that a miscarrage is likely. It sounds like you are having a 'propper' period and its been longer because your hormones are messed up.

When you take the contraceptive pill, you don't ovulate, so the 'period' you have when you stop taking them is actually false. (If you read the information leaflet that comes with your pills, you should be able to conform this.) The fact that you stopped for five days then tok the rest then stopped again would have messed with your hormones. However, do check. Whether the test is positive or negative, you should still seek medical advice if the bleeding doesn't stop soon, or if you get heavier/lots of clots.

have you had unprotected sex?????If so you might want to go see your OBGYN...Could be a missed pregnancy..I had the same thing only i bleed for a month straight, unbearable constant pains in my lower stomache and lower back as well as clots the size of a tennis ball coming out of me and they were red and purple in some spots resembling a placenta which it was, i had miscarried and didnt even know i was pregnant....all miscarriages are different, some don't even have pains, nor a period ect and some can bleed just like a period with little clots and no pain. if you think its a cause for concern you need to go see your doctor....clotting doesnt necessary mean something is wrong. i have clots too. but the whole period for 4 weeks straight is a cause for concern. what typ of BC are you on??i would suggest taking a ride to the doctors

It does sound like a miscarriage. Defiantly see a doctor and try to take a sanitary pad with any of the clots still on so the doctor can get a better idea of whats happening. Don't use a tampon because if it is a miscarriage you are at a higher risk of infection. I am talking from my own experience, so don't take this as gospel, it could be a number of other things just get checked out.

I've had clear jelly like blood clots too and the doctor said that this is normal in some people. Blood clots and heavy periods could mean fibroids though. Bleeding for such a long time is not normal but in any case see your doctor.

Uterine fibroids are usually not dangerous, but can cause immense discomfort and lead to complications like anemia from heavy blood loss. In rare cases, they may cause complications that affect pregnancy.

In cases where there are no symptoms, treatment may not be necessary. However, proper diagnosis and treatment may be required if your symptoms are severe or causing complications. Along with conventional treatment, you can try some natural home remedies. Read here https://tr.im/Dz026

Take a pregnancy test, if it's positive, you had a miscarriage. See your doc either way.
