usually it moves like any other window open, just put your pointer on it, hold down the left mouse button and move the mouse.

when you have your messenger box up right click on the blue strip at the top.a box will open click move the cursor will change into a sort of sight, put your cursor back on the blue strip and drag it to the other side of your screen or where ever you want it
