To do this, since the printer has a USB port only, there are two ways to handle this.
Method 1: Connect all four Macs to the network, and attach the printer to one of them, and make sure you share the printer across the network. The only issue with this method is that you will have to keep the machine with the printer attached on at all times so the other clients can print.
Method 2: Connect all four Macs to the network, and get a USB Ethernet Print Server, which you will connect to the printer. When you set up printing, you will need to print to an IP Address. You can have the printer obtain a Static or a Dynamic IP Address. I would recommend a Static IP Address, so it doesn't change. For this setup, you'd be well advised to follow the directions that come with the Print Server.

If it's a wireless router, you could prolly enable printer sharing between the four macs, but at least one one of them has to be hardwired and that one must be on for the others to actually print. I recommend a Print Server though; they're wireless, great for businesses or laptops and relatively inexpensive (normally around $50-$100). But that's only if you have a wireless router.

the precedence you're dealing with is that your computer is on the spot and also you probably did not factor out that you had a on the spot get proper of entry to point into your stressed out community. without a on the spot get proper of entry to point like a on the spot router that connects consisting of your stressed out community, your computer received't have get proper of entry to to the computer with the printer connected. suitable selection should be to get a on the spot router with stressed out community ports too and connect that into your community and setup your computer to the router and sharing with the computer with the printer and also you should have get proper of entry to. If the printer has a community port on it, it should be suitable to set it up right now connected to the router as well to make get proper of entry to a best purchase extra common and also you does not ought to have the present pc on to print to the printer. better of success.
