hehe, i'll be the few to admit sure I do. Like, i duno, it's weird: half of me knows it's just these people (or one person) sitting around in a newspaper headquaters brainstroming different scenarios...the other half reads my horoscope anyway (virgo pride btw) and I always seem to draw connections to my real life. whether it's a mind game or not, they're fun so just believe what you want to believe :)

Horoscopes in newspapers cover a wide range of generalities and on certain days you can read some small item that you can connect with. This gives the impression of belief. How ever if the news is not good the reader will ignore the horoscope.
The traits of people born under various star signs however are very accurate.
When full information is give, i.e. time of birth, place and date, then an accurate horoscope is possible and this reading will show a lot of true facts.
Therefore the answer is yes I do believe in true horoscope readings but not so much the generalisation of the daily newspaper horoscopes.

Really, if you really dig into astrology, it's not so much different than practicing meditation, prayer or a little self-analysis. The long-term transits, in particular, ask you to examine some fundamental aspects of your life, take advantage of opportunities that present themselves in those areas or be on guard against compulsive behaviors or patterns that undermine your own best interests. Also built into the whole framework is the idea that there are some things that are beyond your control, kind of like the "Serenity Prayer".

Of course, that's if you really dig into them. And if you really dig into them, you realize the framework doesn't even support the notion of predicting precise future events. I like to think of it as a means of focusing your consciousness.

I'll believe them when astrologers give a good explanation of why the life of Jesse Garon Presley was so different from that of his twin, Elvis Aron.

Sure, it's real as are flying carpets, unicorns, elves, sprites, ghosts, Atlantis, genies, ice giants, wizards, reflexology, U.F.O.s, E.S.P., dowsing, remote viewing, tarot cards, tea leaves, angels, deamons, numerolgy, spell casting, dragons, Loch Ness Monster, yetis, auras, Bermuda Triangle, clairvoyance, police psychics, witchcraft, iridology, aliens, palm reading, and many I missed.

None of these have any evidence but don't let that stop you from "believing". Why does any of these need proof?

If you know when and where you were born, a natal chart is scarily accurate. Other than that, the stuff you get in the papers is awful, especially Jonathon Cainer in the Mail.

no, the writers make them so broad that anybody who believes in them can manipulate the situation they're in unconsciously to make the horoscope fit, and fool themselves into believe there is truth in them. I find it slightly basic that somebody should be defined by what month they were born in, and that all their behaviour, and their lives could be governed by this

No. Astrology can be interesting and accurate but it takes a lot more information than a persons sun sign , which is what horrorscopes go on.
