If it is vulnerable and in the pathway of another piece, then anything can take it. Don't spend the entire game protecting the queen, though. From my own experience, you will lose, or win poorly. The queen does hold the most power and has the most opportunities for movement, but learning to use ALL the pieces strategically is much better.

Happy playing & good luck! ;)

Any piece in chess can "beat" the queen. If the queen is left vulnerable even a lowly pawn can capture her. It comes down to the movement of the players pieces. However, the Queens strength is in the diverse ability of her movement capabilities -- straight and diagonal, any number of squares. -- Andy

You must consider chess as a two team game. What beats one of the queens, is the others queen, team work.

Even a pawn can capture a queen, but in terms of power, the Queen holds the most power. It depends on the strategy.

Good luck!

The King used to beat her, but since the Woman's Lib liberated women from oppression, the King stopped beating the Queen (he is a good King now!). :)
