Note to Frank B: <>
You should learn the difference between obscenity and decent speech. And it's "poor" grammar", not "bad" grammar.

There is not enough importance put on grammar in school, although I will say that it is not that fun to learn.
This site is not an english class, so people are here just to ask their question (or answer a question). I am sure that a lot of people's main concern is wether the reader can understand their sentence. Time is a concern for some on here (especially is you should be doing something else other than being on here). You do not need perfect grammar to accomplish this.
I am also sure that a lot of people on here just don't have good grammar skills.

I agree that sometimes it is annoying, and when it gets so bad it is even hard to read. But, only sometimes does it ever become that bad... and most of the time, when you are on the computer, you don't need to put everything in and it saves time if you don't. For instance many people say dont instead of don't, or cant instead of can't, or don't capitalize names, and when you are just on the computer typing, these things dont matter so much.
Oh and it's not grammer, its grammar.

I agree. It is horrible. It is getting worse (or worser).
I teach 7th Language Arts in Texas, and some of my students don't know how to write a complete sentence...in the 7th Grade!
You probably have noticed billboards and business signs with misspelled words and poor grammar usage as well.
It is a sad state of affairs. I am only one person. I do what I can to convert my seventh graders. I hope others will join the cause.

I haven't checked this for accuracy but according to my next door neighbor English Prof. the UN statistics show the American education system among the last ten in the world, next to some third world countries. If this is correct, This country of ours is in much deeper **** than being run by one of most eloquent ignorants.

I seriously know exactly what you mean. I was going to answer this one question about whether someone was pregnant or not, and I knew it was really serious, because I think it said something about them only being fifteen, but I could not understand it. There was absolutely no punctuation, whatsoever.

There was a thirty year period where scientific tests said grammer was useless. Schools stopped teaching it. Then, we found out the test was wrong. It's just now being taught again in schools. I promise there was a test that did that!

It's because people don't read books or write snail mail letters anymore. It's all internet sites, e-mail, text chat, etc.
