Smell. I'll give you reasons for not losing the others. I don't wanna lose my hearing because music makes up half my life. I don't wanna lose my sight because cars make up the other half and I would definately miss driving around listening to music or being at the drift track. Touch I need to work on the car and feel what it is doing, but it's also nice to hold someone. Taste kinda gets the boot a little bit becuase 90% of taste is smell so by losing smell I actually lost two senses but not completely. I'd never have to stand in line or sit next to the smelly person. If someone came to work stinky(like so many do) I wouldn't have to be rude and stop talking to them midsentence to go get fresh air. Restrooms at rock concerts and things like Ultra Music Fest and Voodoo Fest wouldn't bother me anymore.

The question is LEAST prefer to loose... so
I suppose in the order I would not like to loose them would be
Vision, Touch, Hearing, smell, taste.
Vision I think I would miss the most I can't describe why without being redundant, to say that i wouldn't be able to see.
It seems like I could deal with most everything in my life normally if I had my vision.
Also I would hate to loose my hearing but I wouldn't be able to loose the sense of my honey holding me.
I would most loose taste if it was up to me.

I suppose hearing. (DO I HAFTA?!!! whaaaaaaa!) You can't have taste without smell, and i can't give up the taste of chocolate. Touch is the best sense we have in my opinion. Just thinking of never seeing my childrens faces again makes me want to cry on the spot. But at least if I can't hear, I can still communicate, I can read, i can see body language. Also, I'll never, ever have to hear System Of A Down on the radio again!

Why do I have to choose!!?? I love them all. From most important to me to the least, although they are ALL important to me: touch, vision, hearing, taste & smell (although, without a sense of smell I will have no taste). Its not that smelling or tasting are not important...I cannot smell something burning or smell food that has gone bad.

Smell

I definitely wouldn't want to lose my sight or hearing

I enjoy my sense of touch and the ability to taste
.
Even though I'd miss the smell of flowers and homemade cooking, I wouldn't miss foul odors like farts, poops, rotten eggs, etc.

It is not true that you can't taste if you can't smell. If you can't smell, you can still taste bitter, sweet, tart, etc. What you lose is the flavor of the food which is a combination of taste and smell.

Smell. It would be the least devastating. I knew a guy that had his ear drum damaged in a car wreck and he couldn't smell. It didn't really affect his life at all.

I guess smell because there are many unpleasant smells...plus most things that smell good, you can eat, so I can still taste them!!

mine would be taste. as long as I eat I won't die who cares what it taste like. Iknow I would miss certain foods however i would hate not to be able to see my loved ones, to hear good music or the words 'I love you", or to smell in case of a fire or beautiful flowers given to me by me fiance, or to feel my babys hair when he or she is born. that would make me cry more than missing what i'm eating.

i would rather lose my sight if i HAD to since i don't feel it is the most important. Yes, i love seeing things ((the computer being my main 'hobby')), but i feel that without sight we wouldn't be able to judge people based on race, or that they 'look' a certain way, and by the way they look they fit under specific stereotypes. it would be easier to get through the day without ridicule if no one could see.

Smell - it can't keep you from being in danger like it might have thousands of years ago.
