Are you refering to red-bellied piranhas?
Anyway, piranhas are big, messy fish. They should not be kept in pairs, rather in schools of 5+, because they are schooling fish. A 100 gallon tank would be suitable for 5 adults; a 50 gallon tank would be suitable for 5 youngsters.

Before you buy any fish, please research them thoroughly, first.

Honey I will save you a lot of money if you listen to me. I have had red belly's for years. If you just want to have a pair of them, you will be totally fine with a 39 gal. You can usually find combos with them way cheaper than a 55 or 60, trust me girl 39 gal is perfect.
