There's a village in Belgium that's called Spa and that's were the word really comes from in the first place!
You should go there if you ever have the chance. You'll get treated like a queen!
I don't care spending money on it. We like it, we work for it and we deserve it. :-)

Looking and feeling good is a necessity and should be valued.
Instead of over priced spas, look for a local self-employed esthetician and/or massage therapist. They always charge less and usually dont expect a tip if they own their own business, unless they go above and beyond the call of duty such as giving you extra time.
You can negotiate a lower rate by paying upfront for 3+ treatments or ask them if they would like to barter services.
When all else fails ask for a discount, especially if you can come in on a Monday morning when things are always slow.
Check out spaweek.com for discounts in your area. You can cheaper massage at massage schools that have student clinics.
Finally, get a good book or use the internet to look for homemade facial products like cucumber masks etc. They are all natural and can be a fun way to save money.

i do, i love buting spa stuff for facial masks and things like that (like doing your nails) but if you dont want ot spend money on that you can always find homemade spa treatments and some of them actually work, depending on your skin type.

I get facials every 6 weeks. I dont smoke or go tanning and I feel as though it is a good way to keep myself young looking - it is really good for your skin. and the 1.5 hours you get to yourself is priceless. Life is too short not to indulge. If your budget permits - go for it!

no I can't afford it i'm saving up 4 college can't waste my money on that stuff but if someone will buy it 4 me then i will but i'vee nvr been 2 a spa
