Attempt to boot the PC up.

If it doesn't boot up and displays the same missing "*.exe" message, do the following.

Open the CD drive and place the Windows disk in the drive and close it. Then reboot the PC again with the disk in the drive.

When it begins the boot up process again, it should boot from the CD. Watch the screen because it will tell you: "To boot from the CD hit any key". Hit any key to have it boot from the Window CD.

It will begin the boot process and will ask if you want to repair a pevious installation or perform a new installation. Choose the repair installation and follow the on-screen prompts.

This should replace the missing ".exe" file and Windows should boot up okay.

Hope this helps.

You will most likely have to re-install the windows operating system. It may be best to take it somewhere and have it looked at.

Sounds like you had a power surge and fried or currupted some data. Try unpluggin the comuter from the wall for 5 minutes and restart it later.

You need a computer technician. I suspect this is a motherboard problem, but I am not sure.
