Where is the best place to find pre-maritla counseling? I checked the yellowpages and I can't find anything in my area at all. I heard churches offer pre-marital counseling. Is it usually free? Or how much would I be looking to spend? Anyone know where to find free counseling if possible Any advice, please.

Ok guys, thanx for the insight. But I was just asking for loactions. It's recommended to have counseling before marriage even if you have no visible problems, that's why I'm asking. And I'm not getting marred through a church, that's just where I've heard of the only counseling.

Pre-marital counseling is a great idea. It does not mean you are doomed, it means that you are smart enough to know problems will come up, and want to learn a good way to handle them so they don't cause harm.

If you are getting married in a church, they will probably provide the counseling, if not...they may be able to suggest something. Just call and ask. Congratulations and good luck.

Talk with the minister who is going to marry you and he may offer that or know of someone who will.... If you attend church ask your pastor. Sounds like you want to start off things right and this is a great first step towards doing so! Congratulations and i wish you both the best and yes churches usually do offer free counseling services.

Churches but your best to skip it. If you think you need premarital counseling the relationship is already dooomed. Say you have counseling and in the future something crops up and you will instantly blame the counseling for not giving you this info beforehand. Dont bother with it and good Luck

Personally, been there and done that - I do not see the point of pre-marital counseling. They do not tell you anything that you didnt already know.

Skip the counseling, it doesn't do any good. Just make a budget and communicate with each other. That's the key.
