My hands are not raised, and it p's me off when my hubby does it., so I just leave the house them he has no one to be "silent" to

Well not immediately, I have a good shout first, then the silent treatment for as long as I see fit.

I usually do, but only to collect my thoughts and figure out why I'm really angry, I don't like lashing out when I'm so full of emotion because you always end up saying something you don't mean.

After yelling at each other my hubby and I give each other the silent treatment.............we're both pretty stubborn so you can imagine how long that lasts.

Sometimes I do, other times I do something mildly evil like washing their clothes in hot water to make them think they gained weight, then I cook their favorite most fattening meal. I laugh just thinking about it.

OH, I'VE TRIED THAT BUT I CAN NEVER KEEP QUIET AND BEFORE I KNOW IT WE'RE TALKING AGAIN LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED. I DON'T KNOW HOW OTHERS CAN DO THE SILENT TREATMENT FOR DAYS AND WEEKS.

My first act of agression is "the stare" as my husband puts it, then I just become sarcastic for a while until he gets the picture that he pissed me off.

I think it's human nature. My husband always wants to "talk about it". Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. But, he's usually right and I won't admit it a lot of the times. lol lol lol
