There are so many different brands of prenatals available, talk to your doctor and they will prescribe a different one. I am 7 mos. with baby number 6 and can't take prenatals after about month 4. The iron in them really compounds constipation problems and so I just take the children's vitamins that I buy for my other kids. There is no sense in you taking something that makes you ill when there are so many options available. Ask your doc!!!

I had the exact same problem. So I did 2 things:
1) Took the pills at night before I went to bed. That got rid of the nausea. (also they were over the counter pills)
2) For the constipation caused by iron, eat lots of fiber. You can buy fiber from any pharmacy and mix it in with applesauce or Snapple. That helped a lot too. (although it may take awhile to get used to the taste)

If you are eating a healthy diet, they really are not necessary. Women have had babies for a LONG time without the use of them. If you really want to take a vitamin, you can just take an over the counter one or even a childrens chewable.

If they come up in your vomit you should retake them. Try to eat something before taking them, or take them when you go to bed so you sleep through the nausea.

Yes, pick them out of the vomit and eat them again and if that doesn't work insert them into your rectum and stand on your head and sneeze/cough really hard seceral times.
I hope this helped and you're welcome. plz contact me if you have any more questions about this.
