We were told you could play gamecube games on the Wii. Found the place to put in the game, but not attach the controller????Please help. Thanks!!!

There is a port on top of the Wii if you have it in the vertical position. It just folds open. There are 4 controller ports and 2 memory card spots.

There should be 2 panels on a side, the one closest to the disc slot will be for the controllers, the one farther away is for the memory cards.
