see above mythbusters busted this myth. At first they thought they confirmed it. Outside at the canyon when the duck quacked it did not come back as an echo. What they found was the sound it makes does not travel well, but it does travel. It does travel and echo, just softly.

That is not true. There is an echo when ducks quack. There was an episode of the Myth Busters about it. And they proved there is an echo

why should there be an echo? lots of animals dont make echos. if you wanted to hear a ducks quack echo, maybe you should take one into a cave. lol. :-)

That is a myth. Mythbusters did an episode on that and they proved that a duck does in fact make an echo

There is an echo if there is something for it to echo off of.
