I just heard that all 77 counties in your state have been declared a state of emergency. Where are you at in Oklahoma and how bad is it? I'm asking because I am in Benton County in Arkansas and we are next to get this mess.

I live 20 miles west of OKC in El Reno. We are getting about an inch of sleet. Not snow but sleet. Right now we can still see the dead, brown grass coming through the sleet that has fallen.

In an hour or two meteorologists expect the road to be too slick and hazardous for anyone but essential services (police, fire, ambulance, sand trucks) to be out on the road. They are telling everyone to stay at home. The wind here isn't bad, 19 MPH with gusts up to 35, but you definitely want to be dressed warmly.

As for me I am staying home reading. I sure am glad I went to Barnes and Noble the other day!!!

I live in Norman and the worst part is the ice. As it gets colder tonight, it won't get any better. The forecast is showing that it won't get better until monday.
