Depends--NY is more closed in--LA is all spread out---If you like warm weather--LA--of course--if you're into winter--NY--Both have great restaurants, diversity, culture, etc...Are you into the California lifestyle or the New York life? With LA --since it's more spread out--you can live in a crowded area or can live in a more secluded spot--both are good choices....

L.A. has nice weather but for living there is no place like NYC! So many better things to do and great public transport to boot. It is more expensive to live in NYC but look at what you get!

Los Angeles if you love spectacular scenery, wide-open spaces, and the history of the American West.

I would have to say LA. I've never been there but it has to be better then New York. It's GROSS! I went there once and it was so dirty........I mean dirty in every way. No alleys!!! How do you not have alleys??! How about Chicago, it's the best city in the world, and yes, we have alleys!
