I'm actually white and used to have a preference for thinner women until I moved out to the west coast. Where I was from women who call themselves curvy and voluptuous were usually in reality fat, nothing wrong with it but its just not for me. But when I moved to the west coast I saw many Latin women who weren't thin but instead carried the extra weight perfectly. The weight went to their butts, breasts, and thighs which most men would find appealing, their stomachs stayed flat and still appeared toned and hard instead of soft and mushy. I noticed other women’s extra weight usually goes to their guts, ankles, ect, which isn't so appealing IMO. Why do Latin women carry their weight so well? Is it genetic? Is it the foods they eat? I'm not trying to rude or obscene I just want to know how Latin women do it?

I think maybe it looks better because they dress differently. Some of them really know how to accentuate their "good sides".
They're proud of their bodies too. If you love yourself and feel good, you will always look great!

And the waist? yes- that's because of dancing.

It's not just Latinos. The majority of Americans are obeise or overweight and don't care about their appearance. The 20 or 15% that aren't are the ones that do care and even when they get heavier they are still toned in certain areas much like Latin women. What you are seeing is a .8 or lower waist to hip ratio common with Pear and hourglass figures. anything higher than a .8 is going to give you the look of weight gain all over the body but more focused in the stomach region.

I'm not Latin whatsoever, but I'm shaped very much like one, just on the slim side, and I do live in America. And to be honest with you, of all the Latinos I know and have seen...they do not look that curvacious...

Thanks... I think is Because it all Goes to the right places.. Most of us have a tiny waist , big hips , and butt .. The tiny waist i think is because of Dancing .. when we dance salsa or Merengue is all hip and waist so we get our work out from dancing.. WE LOVE TO DANCE all the time.... besos nene lindo
