I can't decide if I want an iPod or an iPod Nano... What are the pros and cons of both?

I'd be scared I'd call people with the touch-screen iPhone!

The iPod has more capacity (though the 4GB Nanos can hold about 70 hours worth of music), can play videos, is the only device capable of playing games purchased from iTunes (you can't even play them on your computer), and has the best cost per GB of capacity (especially with the 80GB model). Between the two 5G models, I'd suggest going for the 30GB if a Nano is something that you could even consider buying (I'd guess that your music library isn't large enough to require an 80GB model).

The Nano has longer battery life, a more compact size, has moved away from the easily scratched, full acrylic face, and is more resistent to internal damage from being dropped, and is less expensive overall. If you buy a Nano, and you aren't dead-set on any particular color, I'd suggest getting the black (8GB) model, as it will give you the most room to expand your collection at a modest premium.

i've gotta a 30GB video iPod, and i really like it. The surface does scratch rather easily, but i bought a pretty durable case for it for less than $10. but as i use it primarily for music, sometimes i wish i had the smaller ipod nano for when i go jogging. it's smaller size much more convenient to hold on to.

it really depends on if you just want to listen to music. or if you want to watch videos and shows on your ipod...and how much money you're willing to spend.

The best thing to get right now is the Zune, because i have had my ipod for 2 months now and so has my brother and they scratch VERY easily and i even had the cover on it. And the Zune is faster and can do more things. Plus if you really want to by an ipod by the iPhone because it has GPS NAVIGATION, PHONE, EMAIL, TEXT, WEB, CAMERA, VIDEO, MUSIC, MOVIES, ITS BASICALLY A PDA!
