My van is belching out white smoke and I've found oil mixed in with the water, what is wrong and how much will it cost to fix,It's a diesel.

if theres oil in the water the head gasket has gone....you'll have to see a garage for a price tho

It's a head gasket. If you want to do the job correctly check for cracks in all the combustion chambers. If you have no cracks, deck the cylinder head when you have it off. This insures that the head is flat and smooth. If the engine comes out of the van check for cracks in the block if it's OK deck the block also. At a bare minimum have a qualified automotive machine shop check all surfaces for flatness. Check the spray patterns of your injectors.

A head gasket has blown , depending on what engine you have anything from £400 to £800

hello ,it sounds to me like you've gotten were given water on your diesel..Blue smoke skill its burning oil,black smoke skill your injectors favor searching at and white smoke in a diesel generaly skill water in the Diesel,,examine the diesel filter out to be sure if there is any water in there,replace it if favor be and per chance get the tank checked to..The white smoke will sparkling after a jiffy of driving yet what you would see is each now and then you are able to get a burst of white smoke even as driving and diverse it once you first start up if there's a variety of of water..wish this allows..Regards Steve

Head gasket is most likly gone. Not wise to keep driving the van.

It's most likely a head gasket although a cracked head will do the same. Good luck with it!

Head gasket gone and possibly Piston rings. Very expensive repair.
ead gasket has blown and possible damage to the piston rings.

Head gasket is blown. see a mechanic. Although my brother in law claims he fixed his with cardboard from a cornflake packet.

u have 1 of 2 problems ether a cracked head or a blow-en head gasket .. cracked head new engine .. blow-en head gaskit on a diesel 1,000 to 1,500 us dollors.
