We have a cabin in the mountains in Colorado that sits up fairly high and looks out across a small valley. Beautiful and quiet.
Also, I love Death Valley National Park. The first time I went there I thought there was no way I was going to find anything to do for a whole week. I ended up staying two extra days and now I try to go back at least once a year. It's a hikers paradise, so much to see and so many different lanscapes. Dangerous if you're not prepared, you can get heatstroke and becaome dehydrated in a couple hours, but if you are careful.......Amazing!

Its a preferance question where everyone will have different opinions. My favorite place is the area around Boone and Ashville North Carolina. Reason being your right in the middle of the Smokey Mountains and the landscape is absolutely beautiful to look at in the morning with the low lying clouds painting a masterpiece.

Massachusetts - Cape Cod
Spectacular ocean settings with views of wide dune fields and sandy bluffs form the edges of the Cape. Add to this the charm of numerous harbors, quaint villages, and forests with the smell of the sea. And of course, nice people. I had such a great time when I was there.

The research I've done and read says that NATCHITOCHES Louisiana offers low cost of living and lots to do.

It's located NW of Baton Rouge, and SE of Shreveport.

Arizona where it never gets cold. You never have to shovel sunshine and I have only had to wear a jacket twice so far the whole winter.
