From what I gather, the man notices the young woman and a small courtship begins. He is talked into murdering a family by the girl, but it was only a trick to have him executed. The song's lyrics speak of how women always have their way and how their men will do anything for them. In the case of the song's lyrics, the man climbs a mountain in search for a Red Rose which is sweetheart wanted. In the case of the video, the man kills. The moral of the both the song and the video: Don't listen to pretty girls. xD

At her request, he murders her parents (note a picture of a younger her, on the shelf, spattered with blood).
She then turns on him, summoning the villagers over the murder of her parents.
The next night, when he s burned at the stake, she lights the fire.
