I think you have had an early miscarriage. The reason you got a positive test and then 2 negative at hospital is because for a small amount of time after the fetus dying(sorry) the pregnancy hormone is still circulating in your body. You need to get a scan to make sure your uterus is clear.Give it a few months and then try again.I hope this wasn't too much bad news for you .I was once in the same situation and went onto have successful pregnancies.Good luck.

The dr's blood test is very accurate because they actually measure the hcg hormone level. So if it came out negative it could be that you are not pregnant. But it is possible that you miscarried if the last time you took HPT was Jan 1st and you waited till Jan 10 to get tested by your dr. After you miscarry, the hcg level gradually goes down and can't be detected by the dr's tests.
I would wait and see what happens. I got my period while I was 5 week pregnant (well the dr said it wasn't my period nor miscarriage). But I was bleeding heavily like period with blood clots. I thin you should take HPT and see what happens. If it comes out negative, then you know you are not pregnant. If it still comes out +, tell your dr.

Go to the doctor again to be for sure and have a blood test done.

Can any medication or medical conditions affect the result?
Always read manufacturers' instructions for any medication you are taking before conducting a test.
Fertility drugs containing hCG (such as Pregnyl® and Profasi®)‡ can affect the result. Testing with the Clearblue Easy Digital Pregnancy Test too soon after administration may give a false 'Pregnant' result.
Other fertility therapies (such as Clomid®)††, painkillers and the contraceptive pill should not affect the result.
If you have recently stopped taking the contraceptive pill or are using fertility therapies like Clomid®, your periods may be irregular, leading you to test too soon.
If you have recently been pregnant (even if not carried to full term) you may get a false "Pregnant" result. In addition, ovarian cysts, ectopic pregnancy, menopause and some very rare medical conditions can give misleading results.
If you do get unexpected results you should discuss them with your doctor

I had the same thing happen to me last year and the doctor said it was possible that i had a blighted ovum. Alot of times before a woman knows she was pregant she will have the starting of a pregancy then it not devlop. It is just tissue that was the start of a pregancy. Some people really dont call it a baby because it didnt devlop but it can be very dissappointing.
I am 5 months pregant now and this is my fourth. If you wanted to be pregant and they told you you wasnt sorry it will happen some day.

if you got both negative results on a blood and urine test at the hospital, more than likely you are not pregnant. Maybe you just had a wierd period because you are stressed and worried that you might have been. If the bleeding was really heavy then maybe, but its unlikely you are (or were).

Well even though rare you can get a false positive on a home test I would go to a doctor & ask for a blood test. If you misscarry you need to pass a silver colored tissue or clot that is the fetal tissue if that remains in you can have serious health problems. See a doctor & tell them your concerns they may send you for a ultrasound
