I clean my dog's eyes with a moist cotton swab. As a matter of fact, my dog is glad when her eyes are cleaned. She remains still as I clean them and never seems bothered by cleaning them.

Clean them....this is one (among many) things that an animal is not able to do for himself. Part of the responsibility of pet ownership is seeing to their overall well-being. Take good care of that pooch or kitty and enjoy years of happiness/companionship.

My dog usually wakes up and rubs her face on the carpet. She's a self-cleaning dog...plus, we have a cat in the house, so she thinks she's a cat.

I wipe them for him. And he sees the groomer every 4 weeks and they do a more thorough cleansing of the area. I'm always afraid of hurting him.
