Ryukotsusei is a fine name for a snake. For one, you never have to call the snake, so a catchy name isn't necessary. Snakes tend to be beautiful and powerful creatures that usually move in slow, methodical ways. Ornamental names work very well.
I usually name my snakes after weapons or beautiful machines (like cars), since snakes are pretty much all business and keep to themselves. One of my snakes is named Khukuri (Koo-Ker-ee), which is a name of a Nepalese knife. She is very swift and efficient during feeding time, much like the Khukuri blade is reputed as being in battle.
If Ryukotsusei is a name that you keep coming back to, then that's the name that fits.

If you like the name and the snake doesn't mind it, call it whatever you like.
