I have read watchers and I liked it very much. I am a big fan of Koontz' writing.
The last book to come out is Brother Odd. It is from a series of 3 books so far about a young man who sees the dead who haven't crossed over yet...many times because they were murdered, etc. The first book was Odd Thomas, then Forever Odd.....he sees things he call bodach's that are something like black spirits that thrive on devistation so when he sees them, he knows that something bad is coming. In the first book he had a girl friend....all of that evolved resulting in the last book Brother Odd. They really are a good series and I don't like series books. The way this one ended, I am pretty sure there will be another.
The book that got me started reading Koontz was Mr. Murder, it was enough to get me hooked. The most memoriable book was Intensity, but the movie was a bare minimum reflection of the book. Phantams was an awesome book that was made into a movie which wasn't too bad. I think they are going to make The Husband into a movie.
If you read earlier Koontz and new Koontz you will see a definate change in his way of writing and the stories that he writes. I think he is awesome. He has a website that will send you e-mail when a new book is about to come out.

I read Dean Koontz's Watchers. I really didn't get into the story as much as I have in past books, but all in all it was ok. In my opinion his best book is the Door to December. I'm not sure if he as any new books coming out.

Watchers is the best book Dean Koontz has ever written, and I've read all of them. The movie wasn't so great. Have you read Lightening? It too was wonderful. The latest book, that I know about, is Husband.

this was the first book of koontz' that i ever read, i've read every one since and own them all in hardback.... that's how good it was! The movie was disappointing as usual, nothing compares to a book. It's hard to choose a favorite but, the dark rivers of the heart is haunting. I just finished the husband, great, and am currently reading brother odd. you can't go wrong with koontz!

I thoroughly enjoyed the book Watchers. I saw 10 minutes of the movie a few years after I read the book. Corey Haim is in it and the little I saw of Wathcers was unbearable to "watch", no pun intended.
I also read Lightning which definitely kept me interested. I don't remember the titles of the others I've read. His books are very entertaining, fast reads but they strike me as somewhat formulaic.
