Well It doesn't matter what you carry on your side of the family. To make a boy or girl you have to either have a combination XX or XY chromosones. Well the woman's eggs are all x. So what gives you the other x(girl) or y(boy) is the man. So they truely determine the sex of the baby. Now the question is think about how many boys vs girls does he have in his family, which is greater. If he has more boys than girl chances are high that it could be a boy. If he has more girls than chancs are you will have a little girl.
And all the little tricks to so say determine the sex of a baby before you can see on an ultrasound don't work. As a joke my husband and I done six different things that sa say can predict that. All signs pointed to a little girl. And after 3 ultrasounds it is very clear he is a boy....

actually, either boy or girl....you're chances of having the same sex child is like 70%. But you have nothing to do with the mix....the sex is decided by what little swimmer dad sent into you, so you already having a boy by someone else means nothing. Him already having a boy means your chances of another boy is about 70%. Still, don't rule out a girl, better than 1 outta 4 odds it might be one! Try some of the old wives tales which are fun. Chinese calendar, wedding ring on a string and there are some others too....just search yahoo for some. The Chinese calendar was right with both pregnancies for us! Good Luck!

What you had before has absolutely nothing to do with it. I've heard that you base it on the father's father's family. Example: My fiancee's dad had a girl, then two boys. His grandpa had all boys. We had a girl first, so I'm thinking whenever we have another, it should be a boy. There really is no 100% way to predict what you're having, but I have seen it follow the family line, like I showed. Good Luck!

I'd say it's a 50/50 chance :) But really, some men produce more Y(male) sperm then X(female) sperm for what ever reason. So unless you have had his sperm analyzed, there are several techniquies that can seperate the sperm, there isn't much you can do but wait.
Congrats and good luck!

well being that HE has a son then i would say your chnaces are more of having a boy. you having a boy doesnt say anything for you having a boy now- the sperm determine the sex, not the egg.
keep in mind too that the y sperm (boy sperm) "swim" faster than the x sperm (girl sperm) but the x sperm survive longer.... so that might help you determine your chances.... but maybe not. good luck and congradulations!!!!!!
