I have a Rolex Submariner that I wear 100% of the time, including the shower, and it has collected up some soap residue resulting in a very dirty watch. What's the best way to clean it without sending it to Rolex? Their service cleans the INSIDES as well and costs $585. I'm less than thrilled with that price ;)

Any ideas?

Brush the watch with a soft tooth brush with a mild tooth paste. I am not joking, either. It is worth your time to try.

my husband has a tag heur and though it sounds crazy we always scrub it with a diaper wipe-along with the computer screen/crayon on the walls/ car interior/ etc.-it cleans everything and it's always the cheepest place to start-we use the target brand with the fresh baby scent (since we actually have a baby who still uses them) but they do come unscented-if they're safe enough for my sons "sensitive areas" then they certainly won't hurt your rolex-but my husband doesn't shower with his watch either so it may not be strong enough to clean it-for $1.44 it's a good place to start
