This is a step by step to get it done.
Right click "My Computer"
click on "Manage"
click the "+" next to "Storage"
click on "Disk Management"
find the drive in the bottom right pane
right click in the white area of the chosen drive
click "Change drive letters and path..."
click on "Change"
Give the drive a letter any letter you want.
Suggest you give your card drives a letter at the end of the alphabet,Saves any future conflicts.

go to computer management (administrative tools), Disk Management. You can change drive letters in there. Change your CD Drives to Y AND Z restart with card reader in place, then change all the card readers drives to for example G,H,I,K restart then assign your CD DRIVES to D AND E

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
