That is a long time for a betta to go without food. Ich meds are useless unless your betta actually has ich, which is characterized by little white spots all over his body.

Did you only change the water once in the month? Bettas can't really live in bowls, you see. They do not live long if kept in bowls because in the wild, they live in wide, shallow, warm expanses of clean water. They come from Thailand where the water is 80F. In captivity they are usually stuck in bowls are room temperature, which results in decreased metabolism and immune system because it is too cold, and because of ammonia poisoning.

I suggest you get him a nice 5 gallon tank with a heater and a filter. That is the best thing for him, and you will likely notice a huge improvement within the first week.

If you must keep him in a bowl, all you can do is keep him as warm and clean as possible. Using a clean turkey baster, suck up half the water, along with any uneaten food and poop, and replace with fresh water EVERY DAY. Otherwise the ammonia just adds up and makes him sicker. Also try to more the bowl to a warmer room or closer to a lamp to keep the water warm.

You can also add a little bit of aquarium salt, about 1/2 teaspoon per gallon, to perk him up; but do not medicate unless you know exactly what you're medicating for.

Sorry to tell you this but he's on his death bed. Bettas don't live very long. Flush him, clean the bowl and go get a prettier one!
