Look at the atrocities we've committed at Abu Gharaib and Guantanamo. Look at our trends towards gov't secrecy in the name of national security. There are some fighting for the cause of dissent against the administration. But they are not heard because of the media - who works for the government in delivering lies and asking public officials questions that they are comfortable in answering.

The Democrats are not even considering impeachment. Congress will be no help at all (even if it was early). Congress is too compliant and lienient with the president (even when he breaks laws).
