and then saying how that one group feels? The actions of one does not speak for the words of many. Just because I am Black (not African-American, but Black), certain people think they know me and my feelings. You don't know me or what makes me tick. And that goes for different people of any race.

I'll probably get reported for this, but I really don't give a ****. Stop being lazy and generalizing every thing.

Thanks.

I agree. Some people unfortunately think that Jesse Jackson speaks for everyone who is black, and that is just not fair.

Nobody speaks for me and I speak for nobody else. One of my biggest pet hates is the overuse of the word "we".
"What we're saying is..." or "We don't understand what you're saying" etc. I see it here on YA all the time. Why do people need to hide behind a group. It's gang mentality. It's like these people don't have the guts to stand up and speak for themselves.

Yes, this can apply to anything. I dress in black a lot and some how that is supposed to make me into a Satanic goth. I am not. We are individuals apart from groups that we may belong or labeled into. I just want to be me.

I'm NOT black , but I do agree w/ you that
people should STOP generalizing , take care
& others should NOT judge a book by it's cover or better
yet, not judge others @ all & leave that for GOD to do

I concur...I hate when "our" so-called leaders get on tv and do this also. And I just love your usage of the word Black because in my book, there is no such word as African-American, we're Black.

Thank you. I am with you. The world would be a better place if white and black were only used to descibe appearance and not attitdues.

Dragon dislikes generalizations. They are generally silly and could nevar possibly apply to EVARYONE.

Dragon doesn't care what color a person's skin is. The only things she believes about a person are things that she knows from that person themself. :p So there.
