Obviously you will receive one of two answers to this in varrying numbers; yes, or no...
I will add to the "no" list, but more importantly, I will give you good reasons to understand why I state so:
1) Our senses can easily be fooled (ask any magician)
2) We like (need?) to have an explanation for everything and often develop one based upon insufficient evidence.
3) We are influenced by pre-existing ideas
4) In our lives we are bound to experience things that we cannot explain
5) We sometimes believe that if WE cannot explain something, it is inexpicable
6) We assume that if enough people (or one authority) believe/claim something it MUST be true (they wouldn't ALL lie, right?) - We forget that they all could just be mistaken
7) We can all have dreams/hallucinations that are "real" to us (this is normal)
My point is that there has yet to be any evidence for the existence of ghosts that hasn't been in error in one of these (or other) ways. And though we cannot say with 100% certainty that ghosts do not exist, we can be fairly confident that they are improbable due to the lack of evidence (the rational position to take is that something does not exist until evidence confirms it - or we'd go crazy with all of the possible beliefs around)
So, do not worry, your reaction of frustration/curiosity is quite normal to an experience that you are (currently) unable to explain.
And though I cannot help you much without actually being there, I can tell you that it is far more likely there is a natural cause to what you are experiencing than it being a ghost.

Yes, I experienced some paranormal activity back in St. Louis. I was working at a private club, it was 12:30am and I was totaling the bills at the end of the night. I heard a child's laughter and then saw what I perceived to be a little girl running around the dining room. I went to see and no one was there. About a half-hour later the elevator doors opened and a pink balloon floated out and landed near the lobby desk where I was working. It was one of the most surreal/spooky experiences I ever had.

i believe in ghosts or spirits and i have a scientific reason im not exactly sure who said this but it was a law that no energy can be created nor destroyed there fore the energy of a person can be destroyed so there "spirit" or as you wish to call it has to stay on earth in an empty vessel or something.
i had this experience once:
When my parents and stayed in this hotel a couple of years back i was like 14 then it was a pretty famous hotel for like ghosts and we were in the hotel and my parents were at the pool, and i was going to take a shower ( i had just got back from the pool to) to wash off the chlorine and all that, and as i am putting the key in the lock i see this lady next to me and she smiles at me, and i smile back at her. and then i remember that i had left my cell phone at the pool so i turn around to go get it but when i do i notice that the door is open to the next room so i go and see if the lady i had seen was there to tell her that her door was open but no one was there so i go to the front desk (still in trunks and all i had put a shirt on though) and i ask the guy who like checks people in if someone was in room 320, and he said no that it was resevered for a couple that was coming in a week. So i say i think there was a mistake and that i saw someone going in and then he just smiles and tells us that the hotel is haunted, because a girl died there of like malaria in the late 1800's so i just totally freaked out and thats my story.

I completely believe in ghosts. I had the following experience...
I was in forth grade and in the livingroom watching TV. My mom's boyfriend was in the kitchen -about 3 feet from me- and my mother was in bed, recovering from a surgery. They Doctor reluctantly allowed her to go home, but cautioned that she must sleep on her back. He said if she rolled onto her side or stomach it could cause an air bubble in her lungs/bloodstream (I was in 4th grade I am 35 now, I don't remember exact details) which would mean death. Jim (mom's boyfriend) took a break watching mom to have some coffee. He said he saw the plant on the table lift up float to the center of the kitchen and stop then fall to the ground. I happened to turn as the plant began to drop. Jim was on the opposite side of the kitchen from the table. We both freaked and jumped up and checked up on my mom and as we rushed to the room, she was rolling onto her side. Because of this and many other incidences we believe that and ex-boyfriend of my mom's (he died just months before they were supposed to get married) watched over us and protected us through the years. He was always there until my mom met and married her husband. He moved with us from place to place and always warned someone when something bad happened. One more example... I used to sleep walk. whenever I would get out of the apartment building, "Charlie" would wake my mom up. He didn't bother her unless I actually left the apartment building... it was very wierd.

i dont think your crazy, if you are so am i along with 51% of people who were asked if they believe. and like you i have experienced some pretty incredible paranormal activity. the trick to coping with such things is to try to not let it rattle you, you have to know all a ghost can do is scare you. after all it may just be a passed family member saying hi-

I believe that there are lost souls wandering around the earth that never got to heaven or hell yet, some good and bad depending on how the person was when they were alive

When I was younger I fell asleep in my parent's bed and when I woke up I saw an older gentleman standing at the foot of their bed, looking down at me and smiling. I did not have any sense of fear and went back to sleep. In the morning I told my mother what I had seen and she told me that it sounded like I had seen my great grandfather (Who I had never met) who had died in our home (Which used to belong to him and my great grandmother) years earlier. So yes, I do believe in spirits, or whatever you want to call them.

Yes, I do believe in ghosts. I think that there are many things out of our own understanding that we have no knowledge of.

Well I do, I can't say that much for my step-dad but my family, the women at least, have strong psychic abilities. I myself just discovered that I also have empathy thanks to my dad's blood. I know others may think I'm crazy but I don't care what they say I know who I am and I'm perfectly comfortable with that.

Nah! It's the air itself. Even it comes from your brain that plays tricks on you. There is no such ghosts!
