It is possible, it happened in my case! Usually it is due to the pill-taker and not the pill. If you follow all of the guidelines set by your doctor and the pill manufacturer, it is very unlikely. I had only been on it a short time and didn't follow the recommended time period before having unprotected sex. Sometimes your hormone levels can call for different kinds of the pill for different people so you should see your doctor as often as they ask you to, and BE HONEST while you are there. The Dr's questions and your answers to them will help them decide whether the pill is working for you. I went with a Mirena IUD instead, no failure rate and I don't have to remember a pill.

Absolutely. Even taken absolutely according to directions (which only about 50% of users even do), it's only 98% effective (this percentage may go slightly up or down depending on the brand you use).
Add in the fact that most people aren't perfect users and skip a day here and there, forget to take it at the same time every day, or are outside of the ideal weight range (obesity can make it less effective) and that certain other medications like antibiotics can affect it, and far more than 2% of users concieve while using it.

Yes, i have two children to prove it.
Took it religiously and never missed. One was with the pill and the other with a patch. For some people it just doesnt work. But a lot of times it means you did something wrong, missed a pill, took it late, are on antibiotics, etc.
But yes, it is very much possible.

Yes, it's possible to get pregnant even while on the pill. The pill is not 100% effective, especially if you forget a dose or two. It's best to use a condom as well.

If you take some other kind of medication that adversely affects the pill, it can allow you to get pregnant. I know someone that just had a baby because she had sex while on an antibiotic while on the pill.

yes it is. it is not likely with MOST pills but some only protect against pregnancy to 35% or 75%.... Most pills are 99% and even then missing a pill can help you become pregnant and soem women get pregnant without missing a dose.

Yes. No contraceptive is 100%. They claim around 99% but also know that antibiotics and other things can render the pill useless.

If you don't take it properly, then yes it's possible. But if you do take it properly it's very unlikely. It's pretty reliable, although sometimes it does happen.
I was on the pill for 13 years and never got pregnant.
