Isnt it more like a love for our country is the reason WHY we are so dismayed by what our president is doing to it,and our people.Yes I know the nationalists dont have the spine to look this question honestly in the eye but I'll ask anyway.
For example:

Chuckles D:
Hatred for Bush is a focal point for neo libs hatred of America. It simply is not PC to hate your country now and in order to survive politically, they need another outlet. So, hatred of Bush is, in its very essence, hatred of the US.

Huh?? Uh,no. Hating someone who has ordered more American to die in a war he admitted we went into on false intelligence and has killed more Americans than the 9-11 attacks is in "essence, hat red of the US" You wonder WHY I think these right-wing extremists are so screwed up.Theres the proof(chuckles)

Hatred of Bush DOES NOT equal hatred of the United States. However, most of the Bush-bashing that goes on here is purely infantile and has no intelligent, logical basis. Everyone says he's such an idiot and we're fighting a war for oil (Come on, live in the now and get a new line!) and everyone who supports him is a conservatard. First of all, if that's the best you can do then you need to grow up. Second of all, if you're such a genius then YOU tell us how we're going to fight the war on terrorism -- and no, being more understanding and offering Arabs more economic opportunities is not an answer because it'll just make the terrorists' jobs that much easier. Finally, despite the fact that this tidbit has been repeated over and over again, the liberals still blame Bush despite the fact that CONGRESS voted to go to war while at the same time ignoring the fact that we had Osama bin Laden literally handed to us on a silver platter by the Sudanese government and our Chief Executive couldn't even be bothered to contact Sudan. Why is Clinton not being blamed (rightfully, I might add) for all those killed on the U.S.S. Cole and on 9/11, yet the liberals won't shut up about all the soldiers that have been killed in Iraq?

Here's the drill: (1) Grow up already and quit with the name-calling. (2) Stop blaming Bush for everything and lay the rightful share of the blame on the Democrats. (3) Learn the definition of "constructive criticism" and be ready to defend your assertions with logic, evidence, and facts instead of the usual rhetoric, belittling, and name-calling. (4) Whether you hate Bush or not, acknowledge the fact that no further attacks have happened on U.S. soil since the war started -- and for those of you who won't I'll be happy to make sure your names, addresses, and lists of friends and relatives fall into the hands of our enemies for the next attack on U.S. soil, which WILL happen if the Democrats get their way.

This is for SARGE927:
who asked America to fight the terrorist.?

terrorism dose not=Arabs..(not all Arabs are terrorists (some are) but its wrong for you to generalise..

The oil belongs to the Arabs since its in there country.. so why take it (secure it) by force (America)?

America got attacked in the first place coz it keeps sticking its nose in other country's business..

THE ANSWER TO ( Cannon Ball ) IS:
yes, people do hate bush and the army thats in Iraq and in other Muslim countries.. because their killing lots of people and so their is lots of bloodshed and there is a lot of blood on Bush's hands.. but that dose not mean that all the Americans are hated.. no only the ones that supported bush.. there are lots of good American people..

Hatred of the US is defined by ignorantly playing "yes-man" to an official in the wrong and ignoring all of his faults. If that was the "American" way, the United States would be the Totalitarian States.

You might have a point I am over 50 and in that time period I have never seen such irrational and unbridled hatred for a president that really don't exhibit a mean streak in his personality.

My theory is nice guys finish last and our president should be ripping them a new one like Clinton did, whenever he was attacked by his enemies Clinton fired back Bush won't so he keeps getting attacked.
I don't back down from no one so when I see these YA jackasses asking assine questions I let it rip with facts thrown in of course. I think that is the only mistake our president is making.

You are correct, just because I do not like the presidents actions does not mean I do not support the US, it means exactly the opposite. People who sit back and say that it is okay because the president said so are the real problem, this coutry was built on freedom and now it is slowly being taken away from us. i do not see how sitting back and accepting this makes anything better.
Attacking those who disagree with the Presidents actions is just a cowardly way to avoid dealing with the realities of our situation. As long as they ignore the problem, they can claim it is not there.
I just want a country where the peoples opinion matters and where the president is not stupid, is that really so much to ask?

The US went in on the "fact" there were Weapons of Mass destruction there. How many were found? ZERO. I think americans should be more worried about North Korea, I mean they have openly tested nuclear weapons. And george bush does nothing.

It isn't in my opinion. I love this country. I don't mind paying taxes because I feel this place is worth the cost. The reason I'm so upset with GWB is what he's doing to the US. Our standing has diminished so much that I'm unsure we'll ever be able to recover. It shouldn't be surprising - he's destroyed everything he's touched as an adult. The oil company, the baseball team, etc.

As much as I hated Clinton for his indiscretions, it pales compared to what I see in the current administration. This is the worst I've ever heard of, much less seen (JFK to present).

Bush is not us. Bush is a failure, and there so many, many Americans who are not failures. Bush should be equated to Nixon, the president who was shooded out of office before he could destroy the integrity of America further!

EXACTLY!! Bush, in his dictatorial fashion, has redefined the term "patriotism" to mean "agreeing with my personal form of governing". He is nothing more than a stupid, war-mongering illiterate who spreads 'nationalist' propoganda much in the same way Hitler did and calls it "loving one's country."

Like you are pointing out, it is absolutely terrifying that America has allowed itself to fall to the rhetoric of a dictator, his decision-makers, and his cronies for 8 years. Sadaam wasn't the only one killing his people in the name of nationalism.
