I'm claustrophobic. I'll take the stairs, because elevators make me want to scream. It's rather hard on the other passengers. ; )

I'm always nervous everytime I go in an elevator, going up and down.

Both, I'm always afraid the elevator is going to break down and I'm going to be stuck in it. I hate that feeling.

Either way, up or down...if the elevator stops between floors for any length of time, I start to worry...

no.. i work in the building hvac trade and i ride them all the time. if they get stuck i just call it in and sit down.. if it falls i just kiss my brown butt goodbye haha.. all elevators have brakes that prevent that sort of thing.. unless you go out in the shaft you'll be ok elevators are really safe.
