im not an ugly girl but i have experienced being called it a few times....alot of people tell me im pretty or cute...but then some people are so mean and say Ugly..what for? were all beatuiful arent we? so yeah it hurts :(

I'm so Sorry that people tell you that they must have issues with self worth so they take It out on you. you are pretty. you Just be your self and don't let anyone put you down.
Oh and yes I have been called ugly lots of times. my Dad calls me that at least once a week or more so yeah it hurts bad :(

I recently heard someone whom I considered to be a good friend call me ugly. It does hurt, but I also know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Even the seemingly beautiful people know someone that thinks they`re ugly. Just try to brush it off and don`t let anyone make you feel inferior:)

Keep in mind that only petty people and those with low self-esteem would make such a remark. They have issues and making such a comment gives them a temporary, euphoric high. They put others down to try and boost their own ego. It never works.
Cambie - you need to learn the true definition of the word "friend." No "friend" would make such a comment. An acquaintance might. A "friend" is somebody who would give you the shirt off their back, one who would never reveal your secrets, one who would never talk about you behind your back. I've been around a long time and I think I have four, maybe five friends. My wife, my two sons and two childhood buddies who I have remained in contact with.

The first poster is a fine example of what an ugly person looks like. I have some fabulous friends that have great big hearts but don't look like models.
Your ultimate beauty comes from the inside and if those people can't see it then you don't need them in your life.

Beauty comes from within. Anyone who is so cold as to stand and tell someone they're "ugly", lacks true beauty.
You have to understand that when people are cruel, it's them who needs help. They are soo not happy with themselves.
Honestly, looking back to my school days, I've found the people who were bullies and the meanest have amounted to the least. Many are just miserable, on drugs, or can't keep a mate.
Just hold your head high and remember God thinks you're just fine, He gave you your features.

Yes we are, and I know it hurts. It's a hateful nasty thing to say so the best advise I can give is take it from the source(look at the type of people that are saying those mean things to you-are they really worth it?). When people say ugly things to others, it makes them ugly. Looks fade.........faster than most people realize, and when you say nasty things and are ugly inside, trust me, it shows.

Zandelia is a self-absorbed jerk - ignore her. In fact, ignore all of them!! Screw the ones who think they are more attractive, priveleged or special - they are bankrupt in terms of personality, warmth, caring, intelligence (yes, that too), social value or any other socially desirable value or quality. They have no value to you and you have to accept your own value and desireability without consideration of theirs.
Believe in yourself and pursue your dreams - the ones who love you will come to you.
