start by stuffing it with unused dryer sheets (i like the bounce febreeze kind) and sealing it in a plastic bag for three days-then change out the sheets and let it sit out like that for a few more-finally use a cleaning product on it if you think it needs it-like saddle soap or mink oil (do a test spot if you've never conditioned the leather before just to be safe)

There are several leather restorative products available in supermarkets. They make the leather smell like brand new again. Look in the furniture polish section
