start by stuffing it with unused dryer sheets (i like the bounce febreeze kind) and sealing it in a plastic bag for three days-then change out the sheets and let it sit out like that for a few more-finally use a cleaning product on it if you think it needs it-like saddle soap or mink oil (do a test spot if you've never conditioned the leather before just to be safe)
